The third EP of the Shoreline series.
All tracks on the EP are named after locations in Iceland. Through noise, atmosphere, and experimental electronics, I try to present the meaning of "coldness" in an all-round way through four works.

Part I:

Sprengisandsleið - The F26 gravel track across interior Iceland. An epic of the volcanic land - a neoclassical work with an OST-like feel.

Víkurkirkja - The red church in the Icelandic town of Vik - also the cover of the EP. Similar soundscape-wise to the first and second EPs of "Shoreline" series, spreading the faint warmth of the sun in the brutal cold of the north.

Part II:

Hornstradir - The winding coastline of the fjords in northwestern Iceland. Steep cliffs, relentless gales, everything... A 6-minute atmospheric riff done with ASM Hydrasynth and post-processing of the musical material with several Max for Live plugins. This is what nature looks like in its most primitive form - the force of nature that ruthlessly destroys everything.

Reynisfjara - Iceland's most famous black sand beach. Sampling the works of Stravinsky and G.F.Haas' second string quartet, the work depicts the ultimate transition of the black to the crystal-clear white: the first half - dense snowstorm, black reefs, black sand, and black ocean; the second half - sea fog disintegrating, glacial ice washing up on the beach, crystal clear snow, and enormous glaciers that conceal icefields in the distance.
